Howard Garnel | Executive Chef
This Chef is no stranger to varied cuisines. He has studied with some of the top chef’s around the country from Denver, Austin, Dallas, Charlotte & South Beach; his pallet knows nothing but the finest. After traveling around the states Chef Howard ventured to the Cayman Islands where he used his skills to open a restaurant and became even more experienced with the operations side of the food and beverage industry.
To further his culinary expertise he moved to Atlanta in 2005 to collaborate with US Café where he won Creative Loafing’s Editor’s Choice Best Burger before all the burger joints became a big hit. His years of experience refined his pallet and his catering vision. Chef Howard joined the GE team as Executive Chef in 2013 and leads his staff with confidence and creativity. In the Fall of 2013 he participated and won first place in the Cystic Fibrosis Battle for the Cure, a competition highlighting the “next generation” chefs in Atlanta as they battled it out for the title of The Peachtree Society Restaurant of the Year.
“Evolution” is what this chef is all about. “Food should be a desire, not a function,” says Chef Howard. When asked about his role as GE’s Executive Chef, Garnel says “I want all event guests to enjoy my creations and presentations and have memorable impressions to rave about for years to come.”
